Introduction:

Balasana can also be called as child’s pose. Bala means child and asana means posture.

The ultimate aim of this Balasana – Child’s Pose – Posture is actually makes you relaxed after doing some tough asanas like shirshasana.

Procedure :

Initially try to be in diamond pose or vajrasana or try to bend your knees and hips such that your shins should be on floors, calves beneath the thighs. Body erect and head in nice forward position.

Now stretch your head in forward direction towards the ground such that your fore head should touch the ground and chest on the knees or laps. At the same time stretch your arms in forward direction or backwards towards the feet. Then have a normal breath by closing your eyes.

At the end of the day body should face the floor in a fetal position.

Finally after one or two mins get back to thunderbolt pose or vajrasana by opening your eyes.
